Despite being a very powerful link and anchor checker, Emmeslink is exceedingly easy to use.
To check the links on a the single page, enter the name or URL of the page in the "Starting URL" window, select a recursive search depth of 1, and click "Check".
To check an entire site, enter the URL of the index page for the site, select a recursive search depth of 99, and click "Check".
If you select an intermediate value for recursive check depth, Emmeslink will start at the named page and recursively check links working it's way down from the Starting URL for as much depth as you select. This is useful if you wish to check only part of a web-site.
Emmeslink will only check pages which are "below" the Starting URL, which keeps it from getting diverted, and for example, starting to check pages recursively on someone elses web-site.
