Composing and sending email

In order to compose and send an email message, first log in as the appropriate user and then click on "Compose and Send" in the next menu that appears.

This will pop up both the Send Action Console and also the default Windows editor for text files (text files end with the extension ".txt").

Use the default Windows editor to compose your message and the Send Action Console to aid you in composing your message, adding attachments, and mailing. The Send Action Console has a Help button which explains what all the Send Action Console buttons do.

Mail will not actually be queued for sending unless you click on the "Mail" button. This pops up the EnterSendInfo window which enables you to optionally enter the subject and to enter the "send to" email address.

When you "quit" the Emmesmail program, it asks you if it should attempt to send the mail queued for sending. This involves establishing a connection if one does not already exist. Mail not sent at the end of one Emmesmail session remains queued and permission to send is again asked for the next time you "quit" Emmesmail.

It is also possible to send mail messages from a command line.
