Most modern anti-virus checkers come with built-in email checking. These monitor the ports that mail receiving and mail sending programs, including Emmesmail, use, and therefore work seamlessly in parallel with Emmesmail.

Versions of Emmesmail prior to 7.9 tended to hang when the incoming mail was intercepted by an anti-virus program, but we believe we have corrected this problem. The current version has been tested and runs seemlessly with both AVG 7.0 and Norton Antivirus 2005.
